Instructions to Kaohsiung City draftees and their dependents
parents receive any phone call required for remittance to handle
affairs about draftees' injury, illness, or restriction, please
contact any military service unit for help or make a 24-hour toll-free
call, 0800534780-5 or 0800534880-5, to the Ministry of National
Defense or call 0800491022 to the Conscription Administration, Ministry
of the Interior for inquiry.
As military personnel, you must comply with the military regulations. Please do not violate any military regulations to and make yourself sorry all your life. The criminal punishment for army, navy and air forces is severer than that provided in the general laws. Please do not defy the laws. Particularly, please do not:
Escape, defy orders, go against your superior violently, insult your superior, abandon your weapons, leave without justified cause, steal weapons and ammunition, snatch property, engage in robbery, steal property in camps, force sexual intercourse, or sell, use or possess narcotics, or take medicines resulting in unsafe driving.
The military provides services for legal advice and guidance for legal actions. Any military personnel or their dependents who have legal problems may enquire for the relevant answers. Where any military officers or soldiers or their dependents suffer infringement on their interests and rights, or unfair discipline, they may file a complaint with their superiors verbally or in writing, or call the toll-free complaints hot line of the Ministry of National Defense: 0800 534 785 and 0800 534 885.
Where any officers or soldiers of compulsory service are unable to continue fulfilling their service due to injury or sickness, they may be approved for suspension from service by the various military headquarters after assessment by a military hospital.
Where any draftee of the regular serviceman suffers unexpected family incidents and has to take on responsibility for the livelihood of the whole family, he may apply for earlier demobilization with the district office.
Where it is impossible for the draftee’s family to maintain their livelihood upon the draftee’s enlistment, the draftee may apply for living support for his family with the district office.
